Sekku House is on Heenatigala Road in Unawatuna, on Sri Lanka's south coast (Google plus code 2793+X7F, Unawatuna 80600). Unawatuna Railway Station is about 500 metres away, Unawatuna Beach about 1.3 km, and Galle Fort about 4 km in a straight line.

Galle Fort is about 4.2 km from the villa as the crow flies, a short tuk-tuk or taxi ride along the coast road. That makes Sekku House a quiet, green base for days in the Fort's lanes, ramparts, lighthouse and museums, with the pool to come back to in the afternoon heat.

Unawatuna Beach is about 1.3 km from the house and Jungle Beach about 1.4 km, both measured in a straight line. Bonavista, Dewata and Rumassala South Beach are all within roughly 2 km, so you can try a different stretch of sand every day of your stay.

Check-in runs from 14:00 until 23:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Please send us your expected arrival time on WhatsApp a day or two before you travel, and again from the road if your plans change, so we are ready for you when you arrive.

The villa sleeps up to six guests across three air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a living room and a fitted kitchen. If you are travelling as a larger group or need an extra bed, message us before booking and we will tell you honestly what works.

Yes. The outdoor pool sits in front of the house in a planted tropical garden, with sun loungers, a covered veranda and outdoor dining tables alongside. The pool and the garden are lit in the evening, so you can swim after sunset.

Yes. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and each has a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. Several rooms also open onto a balcony or the veranda, with views over the garden and the pool, so you can sit outside in the shade in the morning before the day warms up.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the house, so you can plan day trips or work from the veranda. There is also free private parking on site at the house, and if you are arriving with a driver, the car can park there too.

Yes. The villa has a fitted kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and kitchenware. Food City supermarket is about 600 metres away for groceries, and Unawatuna's beach cafés and restaurants are a short walk or tuk-tuk ride away when you would rather not cook.

Yes. With three bedrooms, family rooms, a kitchen, a washing machine and a garden pool, the house suits families travelling together. As with any pool, children need to be supervised by an adult at all times; there is no lifeguard.

No, we are not able to accept pets at Sekku House. Assistance animals are a different matter, so if you travel with one please message us on WhatsApp before you book, tell us a little about your needs, and we will talk it through with you.

Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo is about 135 km away and Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport about 100 km, both straight-line distances. The simplest way is a private car or taxi via the Southern Expressway; you can also take the coastal train to Unawatuna station, about 500 metres from the house.

Smoking is only allowed in the designated outdoor smoking area, never inside the house or the bedrooms. We ask this so the rooms stay fresh for the next guests, and so that everyone can enjoy the veranda and the pool.
