What we collect

• Details you type into our booking, contact or careers forms: your name, e-mail address, phone number, travel dates, number of guests and your message.
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp or by phone.
• Basic technical data our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records to keep the site secure and working, such as IP address and browser type. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, check availability, quote a price and manage your booking (steps you ask us to take before a contract, and the contract itself).
• To consider a job application you send us (with your consent, which you can withdraw).
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam (our legitimate interest).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. Form submissions pass through our website host (Cloudflare) and, where enabled, our e-mail delivery provider, only so that your message reaches us and you receive a copy. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies. The map on our site is provided by Google.

How long we keep it

Booking correspondence is kept for as long as we need it to manage your stay and to meet accounting and legal obligations. General enquiries and job applications are deleted within 12 months unless you ask us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 applies to us, and visitors from the UK and EU also have rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Children

This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s data except names and ages you give us for a booking.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
